Sumera is deeply engaged with the local arts community through her jury and curatorial roles, as one of the Board of Directors at Union Gallery, a Development Council member at Modern Fuel, and as the founder of the Urban Sketchers Hub, a group that gathers regularly to sketch around Kingston. She works from the Tett Centre’s Creativity Studio Space and has received multiple grants from the Ontario Arts Council and CKAF (2025) from Kingston Arts Council and the City of Kingston. Her work connects people through the meaningful stories in everyday life.
